Irish artist Sandra Corrigan Breathnach has been invited to be part of this years MEM festival in Bilbao, and is delighted to announce that there will be a performance of her work at 3pm on the 16th of November in La Terminal/ZAWP, Zorrotzaurre.
A new work, the performance/installation ‘Súil Eile’, will focus on a sharing of energy, offering a space for interconnection, beyond words, through the personal.
This piece will be a progression of Corrigan-Breathnach’s previous work ‘Through the Eye‘, (Madrid 2019) drawing on an old west of Ireland tradition.
Corrigan-Breathnach’s short film ‘Pressure’ will be screened as part of the MEM festival.
‘Pressure’ (2023), is a personal expression encapsulating the strain or pressure that we can experience in life, as if all is closing in.
Threading through the piece we hear an inner voice, a voice that allows us to persevere through challenging times.
